How does it work?
- Field deposit mobilisation officers (FDMOs) visit Bayport Micro’s customers every day to collect the money the traders want to deposit into their Susu accounts.
- The officers operate from Bayport Micro’s four branches and use a point of sale (POS) device to record the transactions.
- Customers who wish to save every second day, or even weekly, get a savings box. The collection officer visits once or twice a week to empty the box and deposit the contents.
- Customers have to save at least GHS 5 per day.
